Charrette on Challenges and Opportunities for Economic Development of a Historic City in the Mediterranean Region

2019

The team at Eparque developed content and facilitated a two-day charrette involving civil-society groups, businesses, and municipal and higher-level government representatives, who came together to discuss the current state of a historic city, its challenges, and potential solutions. The charrette was organized around different sessions on topics such as municipal management structure, financing issues, urban design, infrastructure, and services. Our goal was twofold: first, to elicit local knowledge and information in order to develop custom-fit solutions addressing the city’s challenges, and second, to build consensus among participants.
