Action Plan For Revitalization of Downtown DC Post-Covid

The District of Columbia’s Downtown Action Plan is engaging a broad set of stakeholders to envision a vibrant, equitable future for D.C.’s downtown by developing a set of recommendations that build on the goals and initiatives of Mayor Muriel Bowser’s Comeback Plan.

Through an unprecedented collaboration among Mayor Bowser and her team, the Golden Triangle and DowntownDC Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), and the Federal City Council, we are seizing a once-in-a-century opportunity to reimagine D.C.’s downtown to equip leaders and stakeholders to invest in and transform D.C.’s downtown for the future.

The goal of this new Action Plan is to ensure downtown’s recovery and reimagination into a vibrant, economically sustainable, diverse, and equitable area at the heart of the city that benefits all residents and businesses by offering jobs, various housing types, and a robust tax base for the District. Our team managed the process, developed stakeholder engagement plans, developed analytics, curated ideas, and is taking the project to the finish line. Our clients were the two Business Improvement Districts: Golden Triangle and Downtown DC BIDs.

Eparque Partnered with Kyanite Partners , Trublood.City, Justice and Sustainability Associates, and worked with RCLCO and HDR on this project.
